The Phone Cop (TPC) is a technical solution to the robocall problem. It began in 2003 as a simple answering machine which screened calls. From there it evolved into a proprietary hardware setup and then into a dedicated PC running PBX software. As hardware and software options expanded it enabled TPC to migrate into a small embedded chip platform and then into its current form of using a fully functioning Linux computer system.
